Business: Cherry Designs

[an interior design business and a business name to do contract work under]

Shawna is an interior designer (that really helps when starting an interior design company) and she is building her business with all the things that the other interior design companies she worked for didn’t have. Another main aspect of cherry designs is staging homes in order to help them sell or rent faster and for a better dollar for the owner.

Status: Hanging out until we can get some focus

Business: Teach Me Apple

[A one on one Apple computer training company]

Chais (myself) has managed an Apple reseller store for 5 years (Computer Hardware, Inc.) and has the product and technical knowledge to help out the most wanting person. I really focus on working with people learn more about the programs that come with their computer systems.

[A Hemp Jewelry Business that sells "surf wear"]

A very clean website that sells product whenever it is ordered. Not a main focus for us right now. We are thinking about giving the company away at a later date. You can feel free to ask us about it if you want.

Business: Control Yours

[A website development business that puts website control back into the owner's hands]

I know, I know…catchy slogan…oh, that wasn’t what you were thinking? This business is going to be a very large passive income provider someday (not right now)! Right now, it is a sweat equity hog. It sucks up our time and gives us little to nothing. One year from now, it will be a different story!

Business: Face to Face Media Group

[A business that we started with our parents. It is a digital signage business with the restaurant and bars as our main focus]

We don’t make the money on the restaurant or bars, we actually give them money. We have a 37″ LCD and a computer backed with our system displaying ads from local businesses. The bar or restaurant owner gets 10% of all of the revenue that comes in each month (like a rent for us using their space).

Status: Done! We were spending way too much time/energy and not moving the business…we cut our losses…It has great potential, I’d like to revist this someday.

Business: Errand Boy

[an organization where Chais Meyer (myself), Shawna Meyer (my wife), and David Lano (my business partner) work as self employed individuals helping people with their chores, tasks, and to-dos. ]

This is not a company! I just need to make that clear (legally), we work for ourselves (self employed) and are under the organization name Errand Boy so we look more professional and organized. Every job that we each complete and all of the money goes to us each individually get’s claimed as personal income tax. We are doing this to fill time slots that are available to help pay our bills while our businesses are growing.
